Rising Sun

Here is a tiny story. In Flygon's Pokedex entry for Emerald. It is said that when Flygon starts a sandstorm, you hear the sound of singing. Thus, Flygon was given the name 'Spirit of the Desert'. This is a reference to an old legend I read a few years back. In ancient times, sandstorms claimed many lives due to their ferocity. On such life was a beautiful maiden (I read this back in 2005).

Her spirit never passed on so she wondered the desert for eternity. Whenever a sandstorms happens, if you listen closely, you can hear the woman's singing. Flygon's pokedex entry is talking about this legend.

This is also a legend my teacher read to the class. Mrs. Erica was her name.
